Directors Soheill Sarkoob and Steven Pleace have a combined experience of more than 45 years within transaction based funding including: invoice, export, import and stock finance. Berkeley is an independent company and has the flexibility and speed to react promptly to clients needs.

Co-Founder and Director

Soheill has worked in the trade finance industry since 1996. Prior to founding Berkeley Trade Finance Ltd, Soheill has worked for Working Capital Partners LLP, Scottish Pacific Business Finance (UK) Ltd and was co founder and Managing Director of Sterling Trade Finance Ltd. Soheill has a keen interest in international politics and in his spare time he enjoys watching classic British comedy.

Steven Pleace

Co-Founder and Director

Steven has worked within the trade and invoice finance sectors since 1998. Prior to founding Berkeley Trade Finance Ltd, Steven was Head of Operations for Scottish Pacific Business Finance (UK) Ltd and was co founder and Operations Director of Sterling Trade Finance Ltd. Steven spends most of his spare time taking his three children to numerous sporting and social activities but whenever possible enjoys traveling and water sports.
